BECOME A MEMBER
- Attend a Membership Meeting on the second Monday of any month to meet members or otherwise contact members directly to obtain a sponsor and endorser, who by their signatures are vouching for the applicant.
- Anyone interested in becoming a member may visit and use our facilities, with and as a guest of a member, twice before being asked to complete an application for membership.
- Obtain New Member Application Form. Forms may be obtained at the club or from the club’s Membership Secretary.
- Complete the form and obtain sponsor and endorser signatures.
- Sign and return the form to the club Membership Secretary, along with signed liability waiver and payment (see #5 & 13 below.) A background check at applicant’s expense ($19.95) is also required. Background checks are ordered online from the club’s approved vendor and reported confidentially by the vendor to the Membership Secretary. The link for ordering a background check for this purpose is as follows:
- Membership Secretary reviews the application materials for completeness, conducts any checking of information, contacts sponsor and endorser and advises applicant of amount due with the application (Initiation fee, prorated annual dues and cost of background check, if required.)
- Upon receipt of payment, Membership Secretary brings the application to the next meeting of the Board of Directors for review and approval for circulation of the name of the applicant to the membership.
- No last-minute applications will be acted upon by the Board unless the Membership Secretary has had ample time in the normal course of business to process the application.
- Once approved by the Board, the applicant’s name is published to the club’s membership in the next club newsletter.
- If no objections are received following publication of the newsletter, the application moves forward.
- The applicant must attend an orientation and safety briefing prior to the membership meeting in which the applicant is to be voted on. Such training is normally conducted during the afternoon before the membership meeting, at which time the applicant will receive, read and sign, agreeing to abide by, the club’s Safety and Range Rules booklet.
- The applicant is voted upon by the membership and welcomed into the club. No applicant will be voted on until he/she has attended the training.
- The approved applicant will then receive from the Membership Secretary a new member’s packet and name badge, which must be worn at all times when on club premises.
- Initiation Fee of $300 is assessed for new members. Annual dues of $200 apply. 12 annual work hours are required (e.g. Mowing grass, assisting at events, etc.) or billed at $15 per hour or $180 annually.
